Published by HIGGINS SENIORS Elementary Faculty and Principal Elementary Personalities Sports Activities Snapshots We, the 1963 Senior Class, would like to dedicate our annual to Walt Montgomery, our sponsor, coach, teacher and friend. The Seniors hope that this will help express our appreciation to him for being so helpful, co-operative, considerate, and tolerant. The Senior Class To the Student Body of the Higgins Public School This message is dedicated to the fine student body that we have and all can be proud to belong to. We realize that the primary reasonfor a school to exist is to serve the young people who enter its doors. We feel that our youths are proud of the school and wish to maintain the highest standards pos- sible. The students have a right to expect a sound high school education and the community is doing its best to provide this type of school program. The administration and faculty are very anxious to assist you and will do all they can to help you achieve the highest goals you can establish. You can depend upon us to help you in any way we possibly can. Very truly yours Charles E. Gourley f Superintendent .. The class of 1963 held one in Hig- gins in 1975. Most of us had changed, and looked much older; however, some of us still looked young and spry. We find JUDY BUTTS is teaching physics at Westpoint. She and the boys seem to be getting along just fine. WILLIS SMITH has just returned home from the Army where he was a Lieutenant. It seems he had received a dishonorable discharge for various reasons. MARGIE THOMAS is now posing for mermaid pictures. R. H. MINTON just flew in from Hollywood where he was finishing his first movie. It seems he was playing opposite Brigitte Bardot. It seems JOY RIPPSTEIN, Speedy Gonzales, is now a speedster at the Indianapolis Speed Way. LA DONNA FORBAU is reported as missing. She will probably show up some day in a strange place as she always did before. FAYE FIEL was manufacturing blue-and-white 1955 Oldsmobiles, but has given up on that and is repairing the air-way at Shepard Air Force Base. LINDA ROTH is a missionary in the Far East. The greatest shock we all rec eived was from PAULA ECKHARDT who reports she just won her fir st beauty contest. Of course, it was the Miss America Contest. TERRY LANGKEIT is now manager of a service station. She got her experience during noon at a local station. BETTY BARNARD is now a marriage counsellor in Reno, Nevada. BILL TROSPER is water-boy for the Boston Celtics after not making the team at Panhandle A. M. J. D. BARTON mortgaged his ranch north of Higgins and went to Madison Square Gardens where he became a professional bull rider and steer roper. DONA SLAVIN is now pilot of a charter plane due to the experience she got with spray planes during her high school years. JAN BRYANT was unable to make it as she is still grounded because of an incident which happened during our high school days. TOMMY HAUSLER is now running for President for his third term. He was so popular during his first two terms that they decided to give him a third. CLASS WILL I, J. D. Barton, will my ability to do something and get away with it to Rod Immel, who seems to be having trouble getting away with anything. I, Judy Butts, will my padlock to Pam Stout so that she will be able to find her P. E. clothes. I, Linda Roth, will my ability to sleep in class and get someone else blamed for it to Delvin Babitzke who always gets in trouble himself. I, Joy Rippstein, will my refereeing ability to Mark Goettsche since I won't be here next year to tell him how to do it. I, Paula Eckardt, will my natural colored hair to Linda Mingus so she won't have to spend all her money on dye. I, La Donna Forbau, will my ability to catch a man to Sister Ja Nelle, who seems to be having a little trouble getting one to go with her. I, Dona Slavin, will my ability to run around every night to Jerry Sutton who just runs around when he gets a chance. I, Faye Fiel, will my ability to run 20 m. p. h. to Carolyn Stucker, who seems to be having trouble running at all. I, Tommy Hausler, will my ability to go through Higgins High School to Lane Hill who made the same mistake I did, by not going to Canadian High. I, Terry Langkeit, will my title of Biggest Flirt to Cheryl Norton in hopes that she will take advantage of it some day. I, Betty Barnard, will my ability to stay in from P. E. and get good grades to Billie Sue Harper, because she gets bad grades. We, Jan Bryant and Margie Thomas, will two toothpicks apiece to Gary Laubhan and Lane Hill to prop their eyelids open in class. We regret that the toothpicks have been slightly used. I, R. H. Minton, will my ability to sleep in English class to Lane Hill. We, Willis Smith and Bill Trosper, don't have anything worth willing and also don't have time to make something up. I, Walt Montgomery, will my even temper and self-control to the sponsor of the senior class next year. He or she will need it. The. ? TMOs f S ior f c as you cj r s - y Coo K ?
