U o CZOZJ5 Ajfory 7959 ln August l955 Bobby Ashworth Janet Bauley Carolyn Baker Louuse Clark Nellue Denny Walter Elluott Jo Ann Hudson Jenny Jacoby Larry Jensen Nancy Machetta Evonne Mallory Larry Robb Terrue Stuart Peggy Sumpter and Harold Taylor entered the Hugbee Hugh School to begun another great step toward our educatuon As Freshmen we elected Nancy Machetta Presudent Janet Bauley Vuce Presudent Terrue Stuart Secretary and Walter Elluott Treasurer as Class Offucers Nancy Machetta and Bobby Ashworth were our Homecomung Attendants Our Sophomore year wuth much more confudence and know how we elected the followung class offucers Presudent Jo Ann Hudson Vuce Presudent Nancy Machetta Treasurer Evonne Mallory Secretary Terrue Stuart As Homecomung Attendants we chose Peggy Sumpter and Bobby Ashworth That year we lost Walter Elluott Louuse Clark Janet Bauley and Larry Jensen but gauned Cecelua Good Our Junuor year brought excutung tumes and left us many memorues Class Offucers were Presudent Jo Ann Hudson Vuce Presudent Nancy Machetta Secretary and Treasurer Terrue Stuart Homecomung attendants were Nancy Machetta and Bobby Ashworth Only one student left us that year Evonne Mallory We receuved our long awauted Class Rungs on October 29 l957 On Aprul ll l958 we teamed up wuth the Senuors and presented our furst play Kucked Out of College Sponsorung the Junuor Senuor Banquet was a new and excutung experuence for us We erutertauned the Senuors at the Ruta Mae Cafe un Salusbury on Aprul 24 l958 wuth a frued chucken dunner and dancung afterwards Eleven students entered the Hugbee Hugh School for our fourth and last year of hugh school Many umportant events made up our Senuor year Senuor puctures were taken on October 24 l958 We presented No Boys Allowed our Senuor play on Aprul lO l959 Senuor Day at Kurksvulle was on Aprul l4 l959 For our Senuor Trup we chose the Ozarks Aprul 29 30 and May l were spent at Rockaway Beach where we went horseback rudung took boat and aurplane rudes went dancung and enuoyed a very good tume Our Baccalaureate was at 8 OO p m May 3 l959 Reverend W W Wulluams our speaker and pastor of the Hugbee Chrustuan Church chose Guve Me Thus Power as hus subuect Thus year ut was our turn to be guests at the Junuor Senuor Banquet The Junuors treated us to frued chucken dunner at the Mark Twaun Cafe un Parus on May 5 l959 Funally the long awauted day arruved On May ll l959 we proudly receuved our hugh school duplomas Our speaker was Mrs A E Landolt wufe of the Reverend A E Landolt of the Moberly Chrustuan Church Her subuect was Mr and Muss Average As we leave Hugbee Hugh we leave behund our footprunts that represent our four years of hugh school May our next step lead to happuness and success u O 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 I 1 1 ' f 1 F , . The subject Spring, with pastel colored flowers and streamers, was used in the decorations. The evening's program began with dancing, performed by the first and second grades, a song by the Girls' Ensemble, songs by the third and fourth grades, songs by the Girls' Quartet, song by the sixth grade girls, song by Lonnie Moore, dance by the Fifth and sixth grades, and songs by the Good Sisters . After the school program, the Grand March was performed by the seventh and eighth grades, and high school students. While Cecelia Good sang Hi Neighbors they formed the word Hello, then they settled in an aisle tor the attendants and the King and Queen to walk through . The ' attendants were: Freshman, Donna Neikirk, escorted by Marvin Pitney. Sophomore, Peggy Rogers, escorted by Max Borrons. Junior, Judy Thornhill, escorted by Gary Hamilton. The Queen's attendants were Jo Ann Hudson, escorted by Denny White, Terrie Stuart, escorted by Ronnie Rennolds, Peggy Sumpter, escorted by Larry Robb, Nancy Machetta, escorted by Larry Wilcoxson, Cecelia Good, escorted by Alvin Cerveny, Jennie Jacoby, escorted by Dick Hess. The Attendants were followed in by the King, Bobby Ashworth, and the Queen, Carolyn Baker. The Queen was crowned by the King, Bobby Ashworth. The Homecoming activities were closed by the group singing Let Me Call You Sweetheart and the school song. Kayte Gooch, coach When Rebecca Bolt inherits a spooky old mansion from an eccentric brother, she turns it into a sani- tarium for patients with phobias and nervous diseases. Lutie Spinks, the man-hating maid, has a nervous habit of winking that gets her into trouble with flirtatious men patients. Gertie G lossop has a contagion- phobia and all but asphyxiates everybody else with her various spraying machines. Cadwcnlleder Clippy has a cat-phobia and is frightened nearly out of his wits by the pet cat ofWilbur, a problem child. Prunella Figg suffers from claustrophobic, Martha Grubb, the cook, fairly wallows in melancholy, and Plunkett, the foxy family lawyer, develops a persecution complex, while Henry, the porter, harbors a natural fear of lunatics and all their works. Even Twink Starr, Benita's young man, whose suit is tabooed by Rebecca, ioins the company of nuts in disguise, in hope of finding a chance to soften the hard heart of Rebecca. Dr. Hippocrates Joy, a synthetic psychiatrist, undertakes to cure the patients. Complications multiply as Rebecca searches for her deceased brother's money, which he has left hidden about the house, providing ina freak will that a portion of it is to go to anyone who happens to find it. Rita and her boy friend, Fred Dana, had just quarreled and Fred was desperately trying to make up with her. There was Leroy, Fred's best friend, who did everything possible in helping him see Rita. Even dressing up in girls' clothing. Victrola, the Baxter cook, threatened to quit every five minutes because she couldn't keep track of everyone. There was Mr. O'Brien, the cop, who was tracking down a midnight prowler, who in turn broke into the Baxter home, unnoticed. Wyn Cook, Rita's best friend and Belinda Elliot, Rita's rival, got into some fixes. There also was Nada Owens, a boy-hater, Patsy Farrel, who loved to eat, Keith Garland, Fred's rival, Harvey Smith, Keith's man Friday, and Mrs. Dana, Fred's mother. CHARACTERS MR.
