M--lu' 'Q Homecoming I957-53 The Higbee High School Homecoming of 1957-58 was held in the Higbee High School Auditorium on Fedruary 7, 1958. The traditional school colors and emblems were used for the decorations. The evening began with The Hoky Poky Dance by the second, third, and fourth grades. It was followed by the Virginia Ree1 , a dance by the fifth and sixth grades. After the grade school program, the Grand March was performed by the seven- th and eight grades, and high School students. They formed a heart for the attend- ants and King and Queen to walk through. The attendants were: 7th grade, Mary Ann Gulick, escorted by Mike Van Horn. 8th grade, Carolyn Roberts, escorted by Mike Spillman, Freshman, Clara Palmatory, escorted by Carl Belcher. Sophomore, Joan Gulick, escorted by Gary Hamilton. Junior, Nancy Machetta, escorted by Bobby Ashworth. The Queen's attendants were Janice Ann Robb, escorted by Ernest Whisenandg Alice Christ, escorted by Frank Smithg Alevia Baxter, escorted by David Swearingeng Deanne Halterman, escorted by Kenneth Hargisg Judy Thornhill, escorted by Robert Wheeler. The attendants were followed in by the King and Queen, Terry Magruder and Sharon Kay Simms. The King and Queen were crown- ed by Mr. Lowell Stuart. Then the Girls Sextet sang Some Enchanted Evening , The Homecoming activities were closed by the group singing of Let Me Call You Sweetheart and the school song. Thecrowningof the King and Queen was followed by singing of the Good Sisters and an enjoyable dance- with music by the Esquire-s , 'W ..,
