Graduation Program Captivates Audience STAN ROWAN, Co-Valedictorian 1973. Baccalaureate speaker was Reverend L. Eugene McCormack. Graduation exercises for 1973 were held on May 27th, in the Hicksville High School gymnasium. Baccalaureate service consisted of an invocation and benediction given by Reverend Forrest Anderson, the scripture and prayer read by Rev. A1 I Dotson, and the sermon Why These Stones given by Rev. L. Eugene McCormack. The Commencement program contained an invocation and benediction by Rev. Lloyd Turnbull, the Co-Valedictory speeches given by Pam Gambrel and Stan Rowan, and the class address Life With a Capital ' L ' given by Dr. Laurence Hall (St. Timothy ' s Episcopal Church - Perrysburg). Principal, Thomas Kurry, presented the class of 1973 while School Board President, Harold Wittig, handed out the diplomas. The introduction of Dr. Hall was given by Superintendent Lester Latta. Co-Valedictorian Stan Rowan gave his speech on Changing For the Future, for the gradu¬ ation exercises. Stan has been in basketball, football, base¬ ball, Student Council, Boy Scouts, National Honor Society , Latin Club, and Drama Club throughout his years in high school. Pam Gambrel gave her Co- Valedictorian speech on Con¬ viction. Pam has been in band. Drama Club, Latin Club, National Honor Society, GAA, and a class officer during high school. PAM GAMBREL, Co-Vale¬ dictorian 1973. Dr. Laurence Hall was the Commencement speaker.
