Members of the Hicksville School Board have devoted many hours, without pay, to attending to the problems of the schools of Hicksville. Much of their time is consumed in appointing a com- petent administration and staff for the school besides working with educational policies and school problems. A program was developed this year to invite groups of teachers to board meetings to have them explain to the board the functions of various departments throughout the school. In this way, each member became better acquainted with the daily operation of the school program. me ii JA
