One of the main purposes of gym r-lass is fostering sportsmanship and friendship which enables the girls to learn and to have fun at the same time. PHYSICAL EDUCATION lt's time for gym class again! Here we see ,lean H.. Elsie L.. Joyce R., and Linda K.. at their lockers before the important game of the day. STUDY HALL Wie studied . . . Wle studied? Sure we studied. Even though some study hall teachers may disagree with us. we eouldnil have gotten along without those 45-minute periods when we completed much of our homework. We notice that Jack R.. Judy L.. The closing of winter and the coming of spring brings about the thought of baseball and kids playing in sandlots. ballparks. and other diamonds throughout the country. The baseball team had few veterans to report for practice. Despite this obstacle, the squadAconsisting of seven veterans and six rookies-finished the season with a one win. four loss record. The Aces started the season by traveling to Fort Wayne to play Concordia High School. They lost this one 10-17. Ne-xt the squad journeyed to Mark Center and dropped a close game by the score of 6-4. Amaden and Ballard led the Aces in hitting. Hicksville lost their first tournament game to llelphos-Jefferson T-2. however the Aces out-hit llelphos 5-2. Houk was the losing pitcher for Hicksville. although he allowed only 2 hits. Hicksville. trying to snap out of a losing streak. found the going too tough and lost to Paulding 10-T. Still looking for their first win. Hicksville went all 'ful in lhf last game of the 5635011 First bas:-man. l.arrv Haver. tag- Darn-l Brown as he slide- into fir against Farmer and won ll-U. This game .iuringaprat-tim-ganw. signified the closing of the 1055 baseball season.
