We didn'T know where To go, whaT To do, or whaT To say. Due To The kindness oT The Teachers we sTruggled Through The TirsT Tew weeks and became an addiTion To The school. All The sTudies were new and sTrange To us and we had new Teach- ers. IT was noT long, however, unTil we began To Take an acTive parT in all The I 3 acTiviTies and Tried To be a real crediT To The high school. Do noT Think ThaT our Freshman year was all sTudy and work. We had Two parTies and many oTher in- TeresTing and enTerTaining evenTs. Cur nexT year sTarTed smooThly. IT was now our Turn To waTch The blunders oT The new Freshman class. BoTh our sTudies and recreaTion were conTinued. During This year The gymnasium was builT and This TT-IE HIXONIAN

gave much enThusiasm To sporTs. A skaT- ing parTy was held aT I-IamilTon Lake. Members oT The class had a raTher ex- ciTing buT enioyable Time. I934- and we were now Juniors. Our work Tor This year was The SpoondriTT. Everyone was called upon To help in The ediTing oT This paper. Besides The paper and our regular sTudies, Tor They were sTill imporTanT, There was The big evenT oT The year Tor us-The Junior-Senior Ban- queT. AT This banqueT we enTerTained The Seniors in a Tropical seTTing oT palm Trees, Tlowers, Tish, and li++Ie brown babies. We believe everyone, boTh Juniors and Sen- iors enioyed This evenT. AT ChrisTmas Time The Juniors presenTed The play AnoTher inTeresTing evenT oT This year was The carnival which was sponsored by The Junior and Senior classes. AT lasT we were Seniors. We began To realize ThaT The end oT our high school days were in sighT and hardly knew wheTher To be sad or happy. The number OT sTudenTs was now diminished buT There were TiTTy-Tive graduaTes in The spring oT I936. The big proiecT oT The Senior class is The I-Iixonian. AT The end oT The year The class had many social evenTs.
