Rachelle Orientale, Laura Hojnowski and Krista Lindell catch their breath In between dancing to pose for a picture. Dance the Night Away! Dances at Hicksville High School, like at every school, are often the highlight of the social year. Dances are about once a month and usually have a theme. This year had a wonder- ful start with the Welcome Back Dance . The dance was very success- ful as were some of the other dances held already this year such as the Ju- nior Ring Dance. There is always plen- ty of music and refreshments and plen- ty of friends. One very special dance held every May is the junior prom. Last year's ju- nior prom held at Antun's, was a huge success. Everyone who attended will surely remember that night which was filled with romance and excitement. This excitement was carried through to the senior prom which took place in June at the Crest Hollow Country Club. It was the culmination of all the years of hard work in one celebration. Underclassmen relax on the dance floor after re- ceiving their class rings. Dances

Mike Kieman rehearses his lines. This year's first Drama production was You Can't Take It With You.'' The play centered around two families, the Kirby's and the Sycamors who are brought together when Alice Syca- more, played by Qina Aiello, and Tony Kirby, played by Matt Lloyd, fall in love. The Sycamor family, as stated by one viewer, Cathy Eberle, is a wacky American family. The problem lies in the difference that exists between the families. The Sycamors are not your normal everyday neighbors where as the Kirby's are the opposite. The Kir- by's are rich and proud, qualities that the Sycamors are not used to. Heed- less to say, when they do meet, all doesn't move so smoothly. The play was very successsful. It was a comedy with a twist. Most peo- ple probably wonder about what is re- ally important. Every day, we leam more and more about what is impor- tant to us but always remembering that You Can't Take It With You. A big hand is given to all those who participated and helped with the production: the actors, the stage crew with the help of Mr. Quinlan and Mrs. Paseltiner. CAN YOU TAKE IT WITH YOU? I he Infamous Joe Pores visits Jeanne Anto- nio, Marc Gold, and Rob Dombrower at the Sycamor house.
