WORKING PAYS OFF!! In todays society many people feel money is the single most important force, and it is changing the way stu- dents think. Hicksville students have realized that there is a lot of money to be made in the world, and they are ready to go out and get it. Most students who have jobs work the majority of their hours on the weekends. Therefore, it is possible to find the time to get their homework done. For those students who work during the week, the search for time is much harder. Students must find the time to do homework and study, have dinner, and, of course, go to work. Out of all these duties, sometimes home- work and studying get slighted. Because of the limits on their time at home, students must find 'cre- ative'' places to do their homework: at the dinner table, in the car, or even in a local phone booth. Many students have discovered that, although sacrifices have to be made, they can Find the time to do their homework. Midnight movies dur- ing the week, hanging out with friends, and shopping frequently take second place to homework. When a big test comes up, sometimes friends have to wait. Balancing both school and friends to find time for work is often very difficult — but it is possible. Service with a smile ' is Mike Socdo's motto at the Ice Cream Comer. Finding Time To Work
