The first of many Hicksville touchdowns Homecoming this year was a great success. The Comets made the day by defeating the Bellmore-Kennedy Cougars by a score of 46-6. Amazing teamwork and sportsmanship were displayed by the foot- ball team and the crowd. During the game, the cheerleaders aroused school spirit and the Marching Comets and Coquettes did a fine half- time show to the tune of our favorite Coke and Pepsi commercials. Floats returned this year and all the classes did a wonderful job. However, the Class of 80, led by President Tommy Luongo, tri- umphed once again with the $1.98 Float winning their second Best Float Award. Homecoming once again ended happily and was a fun-filled day for all those involved.

Selections from many popular shows were presented. The numbers ranged from the beautiful song At the Ballet, to the moving Nothing” to the lively finale We Go Together.
