I would like to congratulate the Class of 1969 on the successful completion of your high school education. It is difficult at this point in your life to assess the benefits of your high school career. As you find time to reflect on these past years, you will become aware of certain im- portant values that are vital in your maturing process. America today needs young people with vision and strength to help solve the many problems we find around us. I have no doubt that the members of the Class of 1969 will be in the forefront of responsible citizens working to achieve the goals and objectives of our society. It is im- portant at this point in your life that each of you evalu- ate his own character and personality so that you may make the decisions that are best for you in your lifetime ahead. If the education you have received helps you to make these decisions wisely, then you are fortunate in- deed. May I wish each of you success and happiness wherever you may go.
