all school council EXECUTIVE BOARD: Mr. Jones-Advisor, Chuck Coffey-Attendance Officer Jim Rubins-Pres., David Jungman-Parliamentarian, Peter Arakas-Chairman Chris Clinton-V.P., Bob Gottlieb-Treas., Jane Trabich-Sec. liz 1' WW! Santa Claus, Bob Gottlieb, and his helpers, Shari Siegel and Gail Danchig loaded gifts bought by the ASC for their adopted family. ' 11 J 5 During debate on an important topic, Council members showed concentration and attentiveness. Record breaking SAT card sales and a spirited Sophomore Orientation laid the founda- tion for a highly successful year in the ASC. One of the very first legal matters tackled was amend- ing the constitution of the Council. Soon the year's program moved into full swing. Pep rallies spon- sored by the ASC ignited keen enthusiasm for school sports events. Planning for Senior-Alumni day and for the adoption of a needy family through Newsday kept the ASC busy at Christ- mas time. The Council also voted to readopt the Korean girl, Hang Nim Lee, and the American Indian boy, Jack Adaki, whom it has aided for the past three years. In January, the annual Innash dance was held. Open to SAT holders only, the dance proved to be a Winter Wonder- land. Early in the year an original proposal from the Council floor called for the establish- ment of a Student Court, which Would allow for student regulation of behavior. This year the ASC, through the exercise of orderly student government, fulfilled many of the fine ideas and programs suggested during the year. ,.,.,,,,., ,M-W , , Entrance to the Council's Innash Dance required the measuring of boys. Five cents was charged per inch taller or shorter than 5'6 .
