-.-----,H ---nxf . -- To The Seniors Of The Class 0f 1961 How will you go? 'Iwo roads diverge - three roads, four, five - many roads diverge for you and for each, only one can be taken. How will you go? Already some of you have found the answer and have aimed your course in a definite direction, but for most of you there are still many roads - there are still many questions - there are still many answers to seek. Turn your eyes on each of the several roads and view them carefully. How will you go? Will it be through a desire to help others by service of the hands in manual jobs? Will it be through train- ing on the job for the crafts, or through Uncle Sam to the armed services? Will it be through training for the business world or through college to the professions? Be glad that you are living in an age when you may look down these interesting roads and have a choice of the one you may travel. Take courage in the examples of those who, with vision and deter- mination have gone before you down these very same roads, and remember that when you find the answer to your question, How will you go? , their spirits will be with you - that you'll never walk alone . Assistant Principal rv, V H' 5je,fg.fv---fi. aj A To The Class Of 1961 It has been written that, It is only the igno- rant who despise education. Many of you entered high school determined to work diligently. To you have come the rewards of a good high school ed- ucation. Others followed, as do sheep, doing only what was required, and that sometimes reluc- tantly. Their reward was proportional. A few had completely negative feelings about education, and they lost the way. We all have the opportunity for self improve- ment, inherited from our forefathers, in the form of a system of public education available to all who seek it. Today, we find ourselves in a world pregnant with new and ambitious nations. The un- informed, but not inorant, striving dynamically for their rightful place, seek our aid. Can we afford ignorance? As a nation, can we shirk our responsibility to educate ourselves? Are we not failing in our duty when we do not do all we can to help others help themselves? Your answers to these questions, and the at- titudes and actions that must follow, hold the key to your future. The new crusade is already under- way. Join it! With more positive thinking, using as your guidepost the converse of the original thought, It is only the educated who despise ig- norance, you will prosper. Assistant Principal

As you leave these hallowed halls, may you, the members of the graduating class of 1961, re- member the standards that you have set for your- selves. May these high values always remain as guide-posts for your future days. Today We are moving very fast, tomorrow faster, and in this fast moving age, may high moral value always re- main with you. ,QpXix ' Do not be bewildered by the present day at- tempts at reaching the moon or feel a frustration because you cannot be the first to land. Remember your fellow man and be of service to him. Hitch your wagon to the star of service. And as your future life unfolds, do not forget us of your youth. Remember us kindly per- haps as homeport in the storms of life. May God always watch over you and protect you and may his grace be at your side. Principal 5
