School Board Member’s Message JAMES A. SPURGEON SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER WARDS As I reviewed the outstanding academic program and the extra-curricular activities of the 1981-82 school ses- sion, the slogan used in the H.H.S. exhibit at the West Louisiana Forestry Festival came to my mind. The slogan, It Takes Everyone To Be Number One. seems to be the best phrase to use in describing this school year. Everyone (bus drivers, custodians, lunchroom staff, secretaries, teacher aides, teachers, students, principals, and parents) who contributed to our school’s progress and most successful year is to be commended for an excellent performance. At this particular time I express special appreciation to the yearbook staff for the effort made to record some of the outstanding events of the year. Also I wish to say that I feel privileged to have worked with such outstanding and cooperative people this past year. To all students, may this be just one of the many successful years you have to enjoy. Sincerely, James A. Spurgeon
