Students’ Note of Appreciation to Mr. Bennett Dear Mr. Bennett, Thank you for the interest and guidance you gave to each of us who attended Hicks High School during your years as principal. We, who have been privileged to have you as teacher and principal, know it has not been the favorable position of a particular planet but YOU who made us strive for successful scholastic and extracurricular achievements. Too, we know that any success we shall receive as adults will be realized through perseverance, teamwork, and courage - qualities of char- acter we learned from you. Also we thank you for encouraging each of us to face new experiences and new worlds with an open and eager mind; we promise to keep that thought in mind as we enter our new school term and later the adult world. To the many comments that have been made about your superior ability as a teacher and princi- pal, may we add our comment: your retirement is a loss to the school, to the community, and to the field of education. Again thank you for the little things and the big things you did to make us proud to be a pan of the Hicks High School. Mr. Bennett, we shall miss you.
