Principal's Message The years you spend at Hicks School will be, I believe, some of the most memorable of your entire life. This book will serve on many occasions to remind and refresh your memory of these years. I take this opportunity to salute the faculty and student body for a job well done; at the same time I challenge you to devote even more of your energy to the job at hand. Message From School Board Member Ward Eight Today's problems are so complex as to tax our very best abilities and those of our leaders to find solutions. You, today as a young citizen of this great country. must learn all that is possible in your short years as a student at Hicks High School to better prepare you to cope with the problems you will face on entering college or the work force of your country. I want to compliment the principal and the teachers for their superior efforts in both aca- demic and extracurricular activities to assure your better preparation for the many difficult tasks that lie ahead. Let me challenge each of you to always seek spiritual guidance in every effort undertaken and to remember the principles upon which this great country was founded and without which it cannot survive. Let me also challenge you to join with me in keeping Hicks High School one of the finest facilities in the state. I wish to compliment the staff and the sponsors for their contributions in compiling and editing this fine yearbook and to personally extend my warmest regards to each student enrolled. I sincerely hope this yearbook will be treasured for many years as a reminder of the many wonderful friendships and good limes you enjoyed at Hicks High School in your young life.
