Cafeteria Staff and Custodians MR. VAUGH HULEN and MR. DEWEY KEMPER, Hickmant's janitors, and Mr. U. L. EWENS, fireman, all worked together to pro- vide us with a clean and warm school. These well-known Hickman personalities, through their service, became friends of many Hick- man Kewpies. MRS. GRACE KURTZ, the lovable and cheer- ful lady who ran our snack har, provided us with ice cream, candy, sandwiches, and other goodies to put the finishing touches to our meals. Through the work of our cooks, our meals were prepared and ready each day for the mad rush to the cafeteria. Their -work was taken for granted but will not he easily for- gotten. COOKS-Mrs. Anna Lee Adkins, Mrs. Cecelia Brady, Mrs. Ruby Coats, Mrs. Edna Proctor, Mrs. Mary Brown, Mrs. Iva Nichols, Mrs. Freda Perkins. ! ' H ' U. The seventy-five members of the Choraleers were chosen for outstanding work in general chorus classes and met every Wednesday morning at 8:00 for practice. Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor, Dark Water, Madame Jeanette, and Bless the Lord were the best-liked numbers sungby the choir. The director and the choir strove for unity and organiza- tion this year. Completely reorganized in personnel and name, the Choraleers became the goal for members of the general chorus classes, and fine programs became the goal for the Choraleers. On Sunday, May 2, the high point for the year was reached. On that day the spring recital was given by the Choraleers with a few numbers presented by the general chorus. With many fine accomplishments behind them, the Choraleers closed their singing year at the Baccalaureate service in the Methodist Church. TRIO-Summers, Milliron, Smith. BOYS' QUARTET-Eichelberger, Nistendirk, Calvin, Wyatt.
