Cafeteria Staff and Custodians MR. VAUGH HULEN and MR. DEWEY KEMPER, Hickmant's janitors, and Mr. U. L. EWENS, fireman, all worked together to pro- vide us with a clean and warm school. These well-known Hickman personalities, through their service, became friends of many Hick- man Kewpies. MRS. GRACE KURTZ, the lovable and cheer- ful lady who ran our snack har, provided us with ice cream, candy, sandwiches, and other goodies to put the finishing touches to our meals. Through the work of our cooks, our meals were prepared and ready each day for the mad rush to the cafeteria. Their -work was taken for granted but will not he easily for- gotten.
