MRS. HILDA BREEDEN was an instructor in shorthand, typewriting, and secretarial practice. She has studied at West Virginia Institute of Technology located in Mont- gomery, West Virginia, and has a B.S. degree in commerce. She sponsored 20-S Club and home room 207. HAROLD C. EDWARDS received his B.S. in Education from the University of Missouri. This year he taught me- chanical -drawing, general shop, and advanced shopg and sponsored Rifle Club. He was the golf, tennis, and NB team football coach. His hobbies are playing golf and tennis. c NELLE KITCHENS, who taught ad- vanced mathematics this year, attended Christian College and the University of Missouri at which she was awarded a B.S. in Education and an M.A. in Mathematics. She sponsored Blue Tri- angle and home room 106 and served as Hickman's activity fund treasurer. She was the state representative of the National Council of Teachers of Mathe- matics. Miss Kitchens has an unusual hobby of collecting unique and antique shoes. MRS. LUCILE E. LEA has attended Central Missouri State Collegeg Grace- land College at Lamoni, Iowa, and the University of Kansas City. She has her B.S. in Education and her M.A. degree. This year she taught chorus and Eng- lish II. Her interests are gardening and cooking. nl y . ik Mfrs. ALPHA HART LEWIS attended Stephens College and the University of Missouri where she received her B.S. -degree. Her hobbies are reading, trav- eling, and attending auctions. This year she sponsored the Junior Red Cross and was assistant librarian. MRS. ESTHER MCCOMB, Hickmanls American and world history instructor, has attended Iowa State Teachers Col- lege, State University of Iowa, and Colorado State College of Education. She has a B.A. and an M.A. degree. For recreation she enjoys reading and flower growing. As for extra-curricular activities she sponsored Y-Teens and home room 213. PAUL C. MCDONALD has received an A.B., B.S., and M.Ed., from the University of Missouri. This year he taught chemistry, physics and biology and sponsored the Camera Club. MRS. NETTIE MAE BRADFORD, our girls' physical education and health instructor, attended Central Missouri State College and Southeast Missouri State College, re- ceiving her B.S. in Education. Mrs. Bradford helps the girls by acting as sponsor of G.A.A., Pep Squad, and Leader's' Club. Fishing, music, reading, and sports are special interests of Mrs. Bradford. Leatherwork, textile painting, dancing, and reading are the 'hobbies of MRS. ROSEMARY BRAZIS who has at- tended Southeast Missouri. State College and the Unl- versity of Missouri. She has a B.S. in Education and an M.S. in Education and Artcraft. This year she was our instructor in typing and artcraft. FERGUSON, our diversi- fied occupations teacher, has attended Southeast Missouri State College and the University of Missouri. At these schools he attained his B.S. and his Master's degree in Education. Besides teaching diversified occupations I and II, Mr. Ferguson helps Hickman by sponsoring the Junior Class, the D.O. Club and home room 214. He finds time for enjoying chess, golf, and bowling. Q MARY .VIRGINIA HOLLAND attend- ed the College of St. Teresa Winona, Minnesota, St. Louis University, and the University of Missouri. Miss Hol- land taught French I, II, Spanish I, II, and English II and was the sponsor of the Spanish Club, French Club, and home room 206. She enjoys cooking and playing tennis and golf. She also sponsored home room 205. She enjoys reading, making toys, and various other types of handicrafts. She was awarded her B.S. in Education and her Master of Arts from the University of Missouri. MRS. ORIA F. LONG taught art I and II and artcraft I and II this year plus sponsoring National Art Honor So- ciety and home room 110. She attended Kirksville State College and the University of Missouri and holds two de- grees, a B.S. in Education and an M.A. in art. She be- longs to Pi Lambda Theta and Delta Phi Delta. Her hob- bies are painting, traveling, and collecting antique glass. At Hickman she heads the Senior Banquet Committee and the Decoration Committee. MRS. IOLA LUND attended the University of Nebraska, University of Chicago, and the University of Missouri. At the University of Nebraska she received a B.A. degree and an M.A. degree at the University of Chicago. She taught English III and IV and was the sponsor of Golden Quill and home room 209. ANDREW J. MCROBERTS enjoys painting and decora- tion, raising chinchillas, and gardening. Personal problems, sociology, marriage and family, economics, and American history were the courses that he taught this year. Mr. Mc- Roberts has his A.B. and M.A. degrees and has studied at Central Missouri State College, Franklin College of Indiana, , Boston University, and Hartford Seminary Foundation, School of Education. MRS. HELEN H. MCTURNAN, who sponsored Library Club, home room 200, and the Senior class this year, taught English II and was librarian. She went to De Pauw Uni- versity where she received her A.B. degree, and North- western University where she 'was awarded her M.A. de- gree.
