Class History There is an old saying--“Your high school days are your happiest days. We feel that this is so because we have had fun at old Hickman High School. As class Historian, I am to tell you of the exciting and of the dull things of our four years in high school. We entered the freshman year with 43 very “Green Freshmen enrolled. Speaking of “Green Freshman, we had all the other classes, which had gone on before us, beat. I do not think we would have made it without Mr. Laurence Jones to keep us in line and to cheer us up. Ourofficers were : President, Richard Cartwright; Vice President, Boyce Ross; Secretary and Treasurer, Martha Sue Williams; Sar- gent-at-Arms, Charles Cooper. As you know, the sophomore class has the name of “Prissy Soph- omores. Believe me, every one of us girls was walking a very straight line. Our sponsor was Miss Vivian Caldwell. We had 38 en- rolled that year. Our officers were; President, Jo Ann McCllean; Vice President, Charles Davis; Secretary and Treasurer, Peggy Tipton; Sargeant-At-Arms, Charles Cooper. Our Junior Year consisted of much work. We made money for the Junior-Senior trip. On the trip, we took the Seniors to Kentucky Lake and stayed four days. To explain what happened, and how we liked the trip, would take too long. We had four days swimming, little eating and no sleeping. Our sponsor was Mr. Leslie Roehm. We had 34 enrolled as Juniors. Our officers were: President, Jo Ann McCllean; Vice President, Billy Joe Roberts; Secretary, Holt Jones; Treasurer, Richard Wilkerson. JULIE TERRET
