At each basketball game in tbe Lincoln school gym, tl'1e Pep Club has a reserved section for the students. intense moments of the game are mirrored in tbe faces of the cheerleaders and the other students. r ,M X 'D Two members of the special pep band are Alberta Finberg and Carolyn Stark. ROUSING CHEERS LED BY PEPSTERS Any student who is interested in being an active supporter of the school's teams is eligible to ioin the Pep Club. Members attend all sport events and boast good sportsmanship. Through the services of the club, trans- portation is arranged for out-of-town games, pep meetings are held, cheerleaders are trained and selected, and courtesy and consideration advocated for home and visit- ing teams and students. Under the advisership of Miss Vol Peter- son, the Pep Club and Cheerleaders have been admirable representatives of the school. As a climax, the six cheerleaders, Sharon Edwardson, Patricia Burho, Myrna Klockers, Alicia Morris, Vicki McDermott, and Sandra Osborne, soar into mid-air while leading the students in a school yell during a basketball game. Pep Club officers: Dennis Flynn, president, Kathleen Lind, vice president, David Hansen, secretary, and Douglas Storms, treasurer. Anxiously the ball is watched as it nears the loaslcet during Spirited some of basketball. 51 GIRLS DEVELOP SPORTS PROGRAM Commonly lrnown as the GAA, the Girls' Athletic Association offers varied activities to high school girls. The general activities selected are athletics, school spirit, leadership, health, class worlc, recreation and synchronized swimming which culminates each year in the HHS Water Ballet. Each Monday afternoon, the organi- zation meets at which time the girls play volleyball, softball, table tennis, basketball, bowling or curling.
