TEACHING CHOSEN AS CAREER In I9118 the Iocal chapter ot the Future Teachers of America was formed. The pur- pose is to help prospective teachers gain an insight into teaching and an appreciation of the profession. Among the many activities of the club, the students assist the teachers in the elementary schools at various times ot the year. A nursery is operated for the children of parents who must attend school con- ferences during the day. This year the FTA members undertook a worthy proiect by their assisting in training a blind youngster for her entry into school next year. Adviser for the FTA is Miss Ruth Quigley, dean of girls.
