LEARNING IN SOCIETAS LATINA To stimulate interest in clas- sicol matters and to provide Latin students a chance to learn more about Graeco-Roman culture is the purpose of the Latin Club iSe- cietas Latinal. Both first and second year Latin students may become members, Initiation ceremonies usually re- quires the students to be a Latin play. This year films were shown at meetings, various speakers came to discuss topics of interest, and student committees presented discussion groups. Adviser for the organization is Mr. Charles Miller. YOUTH PURSUES SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS Organized since I955, the Science Club offers students in senior high school an opportunity to pursue the study of science outside of regular class hours. The Science Club sponsors studentdiscussions, guest speakers, and auditorium programs of general scientific interest. It is affiliated with the Minnesota Junior Academy of Science and Science Clubs of America. Each year some members have entered outstanding exhibits in the state science fairs.
