Classes in cooking and homemaking teach the girls the most economical means of food buying and preparation. In Family Living students discuss family problems. Clothing classes help the girls to learn how to sew. Under new directorships in chorus, band, and orchestra, the music department experienced continued growth. Moving from the band to vocal music, Mr. Clyde Hill established four chorus's, a mixed chorus, a boys' and girls' chorus, and the Blueiackets chorus. Mr. James Baldrica moved from the Lincoln Junior high school to assume control of the high school band. ln charge ofthe string orchestra for his first year at Hibbing was Mr. Richard Baer. Various public and school concerts were given by the music groups during the year. NEW musical arrangements are checked by JAMES BALDRICA, band director, CLYDE HILL, vocal mu- sic department, and RICHARD BAER, orchestra di- rector, instrumental music. NEVER was there a finer first line in the chorus than that composed of Nancy Savage, Paulette Akin, Sharon Nelson, Bonnie Jetty, and Tcllie Sachs. 16 '4 . fl K K . f X4 '- tw.
