ARE RUNNER-UP The next game was the type of game every coach dreads. Everything the team did was wrong and so Grand Rapids ran over Hibbing 12 to 4. Hibbing then defeated Buhl and Deer River in succession both by the score of 3 to 2. Having finished in the second spot behind Greenway the Blueiackets had a very good spot for the District 28 tourna- ment. Entering the tournamentHibbing first got rid of the Nashwauk Colts by a score of 17 to 4. Hibbing next met Grand Rapids who had previously defeated the Jackets and Hibbing reversed the decision by defeating the Indians 5 to 3. Playing for the Championship, Hibbing was subdued by a powerful Greenway team 5 to l, closing out a very successful season for the sluggers.
