■DtDJCA zjoy We, the class of ninteen-hundred and seventy-five wish to dedicate this Hawk annual to a man who has contributed much to Haiawatha High School as well as the Kirkland community. He has given unselfish- ly of his time and talents. In his ten years here, he has undertaken such challenges as Annual Staff, Industrial Arts Club, Class Sponser, Ceramics Classes, Woodworking and various other arts and craft classes. His friendliness, honesty, and openess are appreciated by all. In years to come, we can look to him as a guide for our own futures. Though we can never show all of our gratitude, as a small token of our appreciation, we dedicate this annual to you, Mr. Way. 2

Much of your success in life after leaving Hiawatha will be dependent upon opportu- nities, situations, and yes - just plain LUCK. A greater share of a chance for this success will also be dependent upon DISCIPLINE, PRIDE, and UNSELFISHNESS - for without these you will not be able to cope with each opportune situation that is given to you.
