THE HAWK 1973 Presented by the Senior Class of HIAWATHA HIGH SCHOOL Kirkland, Illinois DEDICATION We the Class of 1973, would like to dedicate this, our annual, to a man who has contributed much of his time and services to our school and class. We then, would like to present the '73 Hawk to Mr. Charles Schindler, in gratitude, for his loyalty to the students of H. H. S. ADMINISTRATION Phil Firkins, Mrs. Richard (Pat) Carey, Bob Lay, John Huftalin. VERN INCRUM BOARD OF EDUCATION James Montgomery, Richard Williams PRINCIPAL To the Class of 1973: You are leaving Hiawatha High School at a most opportune time. The outside world offers more challenges today than at any time in his- tory. The technological industry has surpassed our social institutions and your job as vigorous, young adults will be to bring technology and sociology into balance. You will help to determine the worth of man. Your generation will decide this question: Does man have a soul or is he just another machine? As one individual you cannot change the world, but you collectively can, if you are firm in your convictions. May I take this opportunity to wish each of you the best of luck for the future and say that I hope you will be a credit to your communi- ty, your school, your parents, and yourselves. Sincerely, Mr. Jimmy D. Froman JIM FROMAN HIGH SCHOOL SECRETARY MRS. PARK NURSE MRS.
