Other Fine Literature Contentment Come, dewy Mom, And banish with light filled shafts The brooding gloom of night Send that blinded keeper of the dark Back to his Mother Deepest Discontent Where she black Goddess of the nethermost cave Dwells with attendant splrlts Unhappmess and cursed Misery And so hither speed freshest Mom, And bring with you sweetest Contentment For I Wlfll this fairy to be my friend And ride with me Life s oft disastrous sea For by her serene countenance The most troubled waters can be lulled to spirit free We shall take a walk th1s nymph and I, Among glades ne er trod by me before We shall seek Enchantment who lrves deep in this peaceful wood Where weathered rocks raise craggy heads And darkest pine sink eager fingers Deep in Nature s mossy breast And we shall come upon a brook Whose tumbllng wake Resembles Nature's lacy pettlcoat And asplritng trees lift green clad arms To catch Apollos new minted gold But perhaps Contentment were better pleased indoors Then to the fire 5 cheerful blaze And to an ancient book of yore Whlch yields descriptions of the bravest knights We would grve homage While out of doors Winter s fiercest breath Flings flying snow lnto fantastical forms While Jack Frost pounds admittance at our door If these brief sketches would come to pass To Contentment would I then hold fast I-larrrette Robblns Grade 12 Above and Beyond lies a Heaven awaiting your call There comes a time n ew ery man s lrfe when he must leaye it all Above and beyond the beauties of life another world awaits A world that gives one peace of mind when free from all mistakes The road one takes is long and hard but the reward is worth the price For when you pass unto its path You ll find your reward will entice Aboxe and beyond our busy world, so full of woes and sorrow I'here lies behind some peace of mind for happiness tomorrow So when you find that you and life haxe found the time to part Just think of the y orld, above and beyond and peaee will enxelope your heart Sally S1mone,Gradt ll l ' 2 S 7 A 7 7 I . 1 1 3 .
