In the cold wrnter months one of the most enjoyable pastrmes was to go skatrng Mr Hallock was always there w1th a frtendly 1nv1tat1on when the need arose and many a gym perrod was spent onhls welcome pond qP1c tured at left are Lrbby Shreve June Feldman Sue Casttller Krm Barker Penny Morse and Robln Rlckerl possrble and gettrng up sufflcrent nerve the brave skaters would go out on the sltck rce Many a noble at tempt was ended wrth a fall on the 1ce but sometrmes the falls were as much fun as the attempts When the cold would flnally con quer the seemrngly mdefatrgable skaters they would welcome the rn v1tat1on to hot chocolate Yes we ll never forget the happy hours spent tn skatmg On January 31st we started out the day was spent drrvtng to Brattleboro The next morning we slaved tn Skt School learnrng the hows and whys of snow plow turns All afternoon we skled down gentle slopes the same was done the next day It was wrth regret that we left the moun tarns behind but there s always another skl weekend another year Skating ln Q- X X After doning all the warm clothes . . .
