He teaches chemistry, and government but has taught science and biology. THE FEMININE FIGURE WHO HAS LED OUR BAND THROUGH THICK AND THIN IS CHERRIE PHILLIPS. ASIDE FROM HELPING THE WHOLE BAND SHE HAS MADE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF TWO EXCELLENT RATINGS AT MID-SOUTH AND TARRANT MARCHING CONTESTS. 2. Hewitt ' s Marching Huskie Band has attended two contests this year at which they received excellent ratings. A great deal of hard work goes into half-time shows and contests. n -fvw 1 . Our group of eighteen Highsteppers received o superior roting at Torront Morching Contest. Also, this summer a former Jacksonville Ballerina taught many nev -, refreshing steps to our corps of eighteen. 2. The trio who twirl the shiny stick at half- times ond pep rallies ore our lovely majorettes. These girls worked very hard ond for their efforts, they received o superior at Mid-South and an excellent at Tarrant. Each year in the spring every band member becomes aware of All-Counfy and All-State try-outs. The music is practiced and practiced, and finally the try-outs arrive. Keith Cornelius achieved the honor of State Champion wrestler last year. Keith graduated in 1975. 4.
