to function smoothly MRS. MARION ORMOND, our undetstanding ad- visor, helps the students to adjust and rearrange their schedules. She also advises them on col- lege programs and entrance exams. In spite of her busy day, Mrs. Ormond is always willing to lend a hand to students who need her guidance. MRS. LAURA PARSONS has been our capable record keeper for the past six years. She handles students ' grades, permanent records, transfers, and transcripts. Because of her pleasing per- sonality and willingness to help, Mrs. Parsons is well Uked by everyone. MRS. DELIA SUTTER, receptionist and book- keeper of Hewitt- Trussville, has performed this job for nineteen years. She also keeps entries of each club ' s funds. Her services are appreciated. MR. DAVID LOGAN, who works three days a week at Hewitt, is involved with Federal pro- grams such as the neighborhood youth corps. He will assist anyone who is interested in vo- cational training. 23

Science, the key to progress and discovery To keep up with the rapidly expanding field of sci- ence, it is essential that students take courses of- fered by Hewitt ' s Science Depart ment. Hewitt- Trussville has some of the best trained teach- ers and the most modem equipment. This insures the best possible science program anywhere. Advanced biology is for students who wish to take a more extensive course in biology. This course is for students going into biological or medical fields. MRS. MAURICE ALLEN is teaching her first year at Hewitt. She received her B. A. degree from Miles College. ( MR. ROBERT M. HAYNES attended Auburn Univer- sity, at which he obtained his B. S. and M.
