our student body MR. REUBEN ROBISON has been the principal of Hewitt-Truss- ville for two years. Before he was our principal, he was the as- sistant principal of Hewitt for a few years and the principal of Minor High School. Mr. Robison attended Troy State and the University of Alabama where he received his B.S. and M.A. de- grees. He lives in Trussville with his wife and two children and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Trussville. This is Mr. Robison ' s message to the students and faculty of Hewitt- Trussville: In the future years when you remove your school annual from Its storage space and begin turning the pages, the pictures of your classmates will remind you of experiences you had while at Hewitt High School. I trust these reminders of Hewitt High will help you to stand up for what is right. Your school is a good school. Your stay here is fast coming to an end. Is your graduation in May gomg to-be your last one? Where are your classmates from the eleven preceding years who are not in your graduating class? Why are you still here and they are not? Each year you attend school you become apart of a select group. I hope you will become even more select by continuing your schooling. This doe5 not have to be your last graduation. to function smoothly MRS. MARION ORMOND, our undetstanding ad- visor, helps the students to adjust and rearrange their schedules. She also advises them on col- lege programs and entrance exams. In spite of her busy day, Mrs. Ormond is always willing to lend a hand to students who need her guidance. MRS. LAURA PARSONS has been our capable record keeper for the past six years. She handles students ' grades, permanent records, transfers, and transcripts. Because of her pleasing per- sonality and willingness to help, Mrs. Parsons is well Uked by everyone. MRS. DELIA SUTTER, receptionist and book- keeper of Hewitt- Trussville, has performed this job for nineteen years. She also keeps entries of each club ' s funds. Her services are appreciated. MR. DAVID LOGAN, who works three days a week at Hewitt, is involved with Federal pro- grams such as the neighborhood youth corps. He will assist anyone who is interested in vo- cational training. 23
