HTHE FORMER DAYS WER F' ,, R. , 4 Courlz Slzclton Prospects for the 1945 football season looked very bad in September. as ten of last year's eleven had been called into the armed services. In spite of this handicap the season got under way very satisfactorily. In winning four games of their eight game schedule. the Huskies finished strong. The following boys earned letters: Billy Pickle, Captain, .loe Morrison, Alternate Captain, James XYright, George Chiles, james Munson, Ray Sims, Raymond Sims, Billy McClellan, Tom Crutchfield, llilly Nichols, Hobby Roper, -I. C. Seymour, Charles Copeland, XValter l'oindexter, Roland Long, Manager. Our prospects for the future look brighter and each student carries with him the hope that llewitt will make even greater strides during the coming gridiron season. Kl.xx.x1,i-Ass
