Ten Years Down the Road! It was ten years after the momentus day that saw the release of the class of '84 from Heuvelton Cen- tral’s grasp, and a reunion of such magnitude took place on the grounds of Woodside Estates. RICK WOODSIDE, who returned to Heuvelton from California after making the top five grossing movies in history, provided the land and facilities while DON ASHLAW’S Le Frogge Catering Service dished up the refreshments. In case of emergencies, a tent was provided for medical attention manned (or woman- ed) by nurses KATHY FRANCHE, MICHELLE “SHORTY” HOWES, KARI BROUILLETTE, and Dr. VALERIE YOUNG, founder of Cutical Surgery — the use of fingernails in place of knives. With all safety secured, a good time was had by all. As expected, certain groups were found scattered about the party area. First we have the happy housewives once known to all as SHERRIE CONANT, TERRY HOOPER and VIRGINIA BURWELL. Nearby we see CHRISTINE MURDOCK, mother and computer programmer, and PATTY REYNOLDS, wife and X-ray technician. Each woman had gossip to spread and maternal yarns to spin. The class farmers, RAY KELLY, ED NEWCOMBE, SCOTT DAVIDSON, CHRIS CHAMBERS, and DAVE CASTLEMAN, sat with CURT SKIPKA, star mechanic, the man who held them all together, if just only their equipment. Jogging indians around the grounds were KRIS MURDOCK, designer of the number one video game in the country — “Redbone Fever,” CARLOS ALBERTO, Olympic Coach, and ROYAL “CHIPPER” MARTIN, stand up comedian and rumored father of fifteen. Not far behind them, giving 110%, was MIKE PARISH, President of Alcoa. Still inseparable, anchorwomen GINA OUTMAN and TERESA SEARS were discussing the latest government cover-up — “Chippergate,” involving President ROBERT MORROW. And speak of the devil, President Morrow now enters with his cavalcade of limousines flanked by National Guard member BILL BARR. Each car contained a different staff member: ADAM WELLS, financial advisor; SCOTT ASHLEY, Dept, of Interior; ORVAL FIFIELD, Dept, of Agriculture; and HELGA WIEGANDT; Press Secretary. Many questions were beginning to fly about the scandal, but Morrow’s lawyer, MIKE AMES, stepped forward to issue the two word response to all questions — “No Comment!” As though to heighten the excitement, a motorcycle driven by KEVIN STERLING bounded through a hedge and over the top of an unsuspecting BILL COLLIER, who escaped shaken but uninjured. Riding shotgun with Sterling was PHIL FLORIN, artistic extraordinaire. The two madmen finally came to a stop after wiping out on a cedar patio. Rushing to the patio’s rescue was GREG SLOAN, carpenter. The damage was phenomenal! Business administrators JEFF FOSTER, RANDY PRAY, and JOANN DEB YAH began arguing over who should sue for what. Things began cooling down as all eyes turned to watch the arrival of JENNIFER LIDDELL, playmate of the year, CAROLENE STEWART, international covergirl, and their personal secretary DENISE PIERCE. Following them on horseback were KELLY FLETCHER and JO DODDS, of the Fletchdodd Institute of Veterinary Science. Once things returned to order, the two Nobel Prize nominees for the year arrived: Professor MICHAEL MAXWELL of Harvard, and MARGIE BACKUS, President of Medical Technology at IU. To round out the educated gender, JAN WELLS, elementary teacher, rolled into the party in her customized Camaro built by ED THOMAS. Mechanic FRED THOMPSON, and electrician MIKE LIVINGSTON, were followed not too far behind by world famous feed specialist, ELWYN COUGLER. It seemed that these three had started their own party because the car behind them, driven by JOHN MOORE, was covered with aluminum tabs and cans. As soon as the music from the sound system reached its zenith, KRIS BELL bounded atop a table and exhibited his talents that won him a Tony Award on Broadway. Because this table happened to belong to WADE BROTHERS, pro-wrestler, the dancing ceased almost immediately. BRIAN WARREN, the first ever issued a degree in college as a certified public bum, rose a cheer for all, but was interrupted by MICHELE MORLEY of the Morley Park Bench Co., in deciding on a vote for what to cheer for. To ease the tension, Father DOUG DANIELS simply blessed the crowd and of- fered a toast. Finally arriving were WALTER FERRIS, RANDY BEAULIEU, WENDY FENTON, and SCOTT PARMETER, who had brought the guest of honor, MRS. SALLY HARTMAN from Riverhouse Retirement Home. As documented, a good time was had by all; many memories were raised once again by each “student” and each person realized what they actually had during “the best years of their lives.” 16
