Richard Moore. We feel he deserves this honor because of the guidance he has given us and the interest he has ex- pressed. Although Mr. Moore is not our advisor this year, he is ready and willing to help in any way possible. We admire him for many characteristics that make up his personality. He listens when you want to be heard. He is very open and honest and his informal attitude brings many a smile on our dreary days. Mr. Moore stood by us during our Junior year. He helped with numerous car washes, including the one at his home in May. And, of course, we will never forget our Junior prom. He helped us get through it financially and physically. Due to his past experi- ences we had a successful and memorable prom. We owe Mr. Moore a great deal, for he has always been there when we needed him. He added many memories to our years atH.C.S. and, to you Mr. Moore, we thank you. 3 Class of '78 4 5 Kimkerdoodl e s She's all pooped out Kids i n 1 tKa. worf«J 7 8 KINDERGARTEN Miss Proper AM Front Row: Craig Duvall, Christopher Compeau, Ann Hooper, Scott Jock, Steven Simmons, Todd Stone Middle Row: Stephanie Legault, Tammy Roacher, Kelley Murdock, Michelle Curry, Alison Foster, Angela Perry Back Row: Robbie Joanette, Jacquelyn Morrow, Marcy Strader, Wade Davis, Stephen Chapin, Christopher Wright, Lisa Murdock, Miss, Proper Mrs, Wilde AM Front Row: Charles Mitchell, James Brady, Lisa Mayette, Brian Willard, Daren Simmons, Becky LaFave Middle Row: Katrina Day, Bethany Brown, Robert Hickey, Robert Wttherell, Christian Lancto Back Row: Mrs. Wilde, Michael Johnson, Robert Mussen, Jeremy Beldock, Richard Bartlett, Stacey Paro, Lora Terwilliger Mrs. Wilde PM Front Row: Bradford Paro, Benjamin Hartshorn, Chad McKay, Desso Furgison, Linda Finley, Amy Gilbert Middle Row: Antoinette Johnson, Sherri Kirby, Laurie Domine, Tonya Matice, Darren St. Germain, Angela McGraw, Back Row: Kenneth Krom, Andrew Shaw, Lorien Smithers, William Johnson, Gary McCormick, Michael Ziestl, Lance Corrie, Mrs. Wilde GRADE ONE Miss White Front Row: Melissa Westcott, Allen Fifield, Scott Sheppard, Sheila Finley, Amy LaPlatney, Shelly Lalonde, Su- zanne Pinkerton Middle Row: Greg James, Bobby Jo Hance, Gary Hazelton, Lori Hilbome, Heather Dodds, Kimber- ly Rodriguez, Renee Fenlong, Renee Woodside, Back Row: Miss, White, Jacent Storie, Teddy Wells, Kevin Sloan, Doug Billings, Paul Sears, Bill Bailey, Jason Cullen, Terry Wilson, Roland LaFave, Richard Ward, Richie May- hew Mrs. Russell Front Row: Timothy Lajoy, Michial Simmons, Sean Doerr, Christopher Hammond, Kenneth Fredenburg, John Cu- picha, Victor Richard, Dana Woodside Middle Row: Dale Gonio, Faith Wright, Jennifer Mayhew, Sharlene Sim- mons, Ann Smith, Corey McBroom, Stephanie Montroy, Dale Strader Back Row: Stephen MacDonald, Ernest Drake, Daniel Wales, Randall Chambers, Gregory Gilbert, Tarasa Carroll, Kellie Thompson, Tina Gagnon, Angela War- ren, Mrs. Russell Absent: Alexa Backus, Amos Brooks, Nicole Wright Miss Allen Front Row: Richard Hance, Cindy Brady, Shelia Graveline, Cheryl Doerr, Laurie Robinson, Heather Wells, Tony Simmons, Lisa Arquette, Rhonda Harper, Virginia Mayette Middle Row: Tiffany Stiles, Wendy Hooper, Julie Goc- cia, Craig Martin, Richard Pratt, Michael Lake, Wayne Beldock, Brian McKendrick, Tommy Barr, Paul Hyde Back Row: Colleen Murdock, Regina Thomas, David Basford, Ronald Volans, James Berbrich, Arthur Webb, Mi- chael Stark, Russell West, Mike Dietschweiler, Darlene Parker, Miss. The times of our lives are the days of growing up, of balancing wisely work and play and preparing ourselves for the years ahead. It represents the present when we know that what is accomplished now will affect the future. Characters and personalities are developed and hopefully improved upon by personal relationships with teachers, fellow students and all with whom contact is made. Taking advantage of all opportunities to improve personalities, developing positive work and play habits and setting reasonable goals and ambitions should pave the way for happy and successful years ahead. For you with your associations and activities in your high school years you hopefully will find that these are the times of your lives . As Cicero wrote in De Natura Deorum Time destroys the ground- less concerts of men; it confirms decisions founded on reality. and Hesiod in Fragments wrote But what says the Greek? In the morning of life, work; in the midday, give counsel; in the evening, pray. Enjoy living today because all the yesterdays will soon be faded memories but the tomorrows' are the keys to the future degree of success which you will enjoy. Wesley L. The first to arrive is Sheila Dickinson Conger, the prize winning cartoonist of Peanuts' . Suddenly we hear the rattle of Dave Florin's vintage 1968 Dodge. Dave is now a famous scuba diver of the Oswegatchie River. Just coming through the door are Jon and Julie Richards, back from California. They attended the third annual stockholders convention of Richard's Electronics,INC. there. As we look down the road, we hear the sirens of a police escort, ahead and in back of a long black limosine. The limosine comes to rest, and Senator Sean Bice steps out. He tells us he is trying to get a bill passed that would make DePey- ster a national landmark. ATTENTION: Basketball fans! Soon to arrive is Kent Backus and Greg Limoges with their lovely wives, the former Angie Bush and Betsy Barr. As the reminiscing goes on about all the great times in good ol' Heuvelton, Irene Putman, famous Dairy Queen of the North country walks in. Following her is the Manager of the Rabbit Breeder Association, Edward Kulde, just getting back from his rabbit exhibition in Australia. There is a sudden break in the group as Allen Knapp, famous motorcyclist rides through the door on his rocket-powered motor- cycle. For our entertainment this afternoon we have a real treat folks! All the way from Las Vegas is famous rock star, Bob Hand and his leading guitar man, Jim Bushey, and back-up singer, Pam Schofell. Arriving by private plane are Colonel Tim Murray of the U.S. Army, and his ten-year steady, Barb Bullock, actress of stage and screen. Following this couple is the world renound psychologist, Cathie Cutway, taking time off from her job. With a girl on each arm, its' Heuvelton's own playboy Chris Gilbert. Famous foozball player, Roger Simmons, is next to appear with all his prize- winning gold medals. Looking through the window we see farmer Richard Pray, driving down the road on his John Deere tractor. Right in back of him are the chain owners of twenty gas stations, Steve Crobar and Ed Wright. Just coming through the door back from their dangerous hunting exhibition in Africa, where they were hunting wild boars, are David Helmer, John Patterson, and Mike Gushea. Tae Suk Choe, Kim Todd Sutton, Lisa King, and David Ferris are next to arrive. As they talk about all their life and death experiences as nurses, Cindy Stewart and Mike Davis come trucking through the door, in their fancy threads. Since the retirement of their boss, Mike and Cindy are now full owners of the Lodge. The person who has come the farthest distance is Donna Jackson. We hear that she is doing quite well in her accounting business with her husband in Utah. It seems she has picked up Tammy Lake and Carol Fox Todd on the way here. Tammy and Carol have just returned from their monthly teach- er's association meeting. From the same neck of the woods come Theresa Durgan and Mary DiYanni all the way from New Mexico where they have been witnessing to millions. Next to arrive is Bridget Ritchie, new manager of McDonald's in Ogdensburg. She certainly has come a long way from waiting on people! Following her is John Tac- chino just getting back from his trip to Arizona. Bryan Smithers is next to appear, with his latest sale sheet from his store, Edwards Grocery. Just back from Paris, France is famous artist, Diane Havens. She has recently finished an art exhibit there. In the distance we hear the roaring of Ron Stevens' famous race car. He is very happy to announce 88 as he walks through the door, that his car is non-pollutant. Look who is here folks. It's Miss DePeyster herself, Vick- ie Bray and her assisant Glen Bray. Vickie has been up to her ears in X-rays! From Babysitter's Anonymous it's Deb- Bie Beaulieu, with all her handy tips on how to babysit all night without pulling your hair out! A truck races up the entrance of the building. On the side of the truck there is gold lettering, BAYNES'S ELECTRIC . Philip says he loves his job, except, when his amps get damp . . . it's a shocking experience. The famous poet and wine taster, Dan Masters has just arrived from a wine convention. He seems' to be feeling no pain. Now arriving is Chef Greg Finley just back from Italy where he had a demonstration on how to make and break Lady Fingers. Following Greg is Joyce Johnston, secretary of Johnston and Johnston. World renound model Emily Brown arrives next with her two personal beauticians, Cammy Thompson and Sherry Ernestine. Coming through the door with their sharp Marine uniforms we see Silas, Jill, and Rick Hooper. We hear that they've started their own military staff. As we go up for some punch we see Lab Tech. Mary Anne Carroll and Data Processors Dawn Childs and Laura Willard. These three work in the same hospital and have a ball dating all the doctors! Walking through the door with his cleats, we see John Decker, the famous baseball player who has an average of 400. Representing the DePeyster elite . . we see Pam Todd walking up the drive, and following her, the former Debi Kelly, and her husband. As Debi greets old friends, we see Randy Masters coming up the steps. Randy seems to have another broken arm. Some people are just accident prone! Walking through the door now we see Lori McManus Stowe. Lori and her two kids, are up visiting her parents all the way from England. Garage operator Pete Abar walks in next. He has taken over his father's business and with him is his secretary and sister, Theresa Abar. Michelle LaLonde and Tammy Delaney are just arriving. Tammy and Michelle are both carrying stacks of Tammy's poems for us to read. Looking down the road we see a whole group of girls swarming around, and right among them we see Bob Brobant! As he pushes his way through we see fashion designer, Judy Brandy driving in the parking lot. As she gets out we see she has on the newest fashion which she her- self designed. World renound nucleur physicist Tim Mitchell is next to enter. We are quite proud to see him here. Michele Groulx and her handsome son walk in after Tim. Man the life boats and Anchors away , because friends, here come Heuvelton's Navy, Brenda Wells and Floyd Cousino. Then Nancy Gordinier enters, she is now a famous artist in New York City. Mathematician, Jim Harris, slowly walks in next. It seems he is trying to figure out the probability that Greg Mitchell will arrive soon. I don't know how he figured it out, but as we start to sit down, we see Greg run in and get in his seat just in time. Just as we had given up we see our last classmate, Richard Mark walk in. Well it seems like everyone could make it. We have a lot of catching up to do, so your number one report- ers are signing off. Bye for now. She has withstood every assault an enemy could throw at her. And still she flies above the greatest nation on earth,1 a nation which repre- sents democracy in the history of mankind. Our flag is a beacon of freedom to the rest of the world. Air Force people know the price that was paid to keep our flag flying. And we know the sacrifice that might be required in the future. We're willing to make this sacrifice if we have to. This is the challenge that Air Force people accept. BEST WISHES Robert J. Show how you were in the past and think of how to make it last. Remember the bright sun and all the great fun you had in those days. Can you think of all the ways? Yes, when you were young and about which everything is sung. And now your'e old and you can see, we must all hold the past in memory. By Dan Masters ON THIS DAY On this day, this perfect day time has come for me to say, Bye to teachers Bye to friends, Cry a little But try to pretend that maybe someday we'll be together again, whether its college, or parties, or even reunions we'll be able to say, remember when remember the time But still in all we'll make it through, and when that big day rolls around we can say hey! I made it through We've cried a little We've laughed a little We've even raised hell a little But! We made it how or why I'll never know. Maybe in time But now I'd just like to say this is my Graduation Day!
