t t V r HEUVELTONIAN HEUVELTON CENTRAL SCHOOL HEUVELTON, NEW YORK 1976 Memories Memories are made of things That happen everyday. Moments as we live them, Things we do and say. Little bits and pieces Of laughter mixed with tears, Paragraphs and pages Written through the years. The friendships we remember. Mistakes that we regret The ending of a love We never could forget. Dedication We, the seniors of 1976, would like to dedicate this 1976 yearbook to memories. Every individual collects personal memories as he passes through life, yet those recollections of school days are somehow very special. Suddenly, when a class advances to their senior year, they real- ize that it will be rather hard to leave all things that have become a part of them and their ways of life. There are places that hold special meaning. There are people to whom they would like to thank but have never taken the time to do so. And there are memories upon memories to place among the pages of their minds. The theme of this year's yearbook deals with love. There are many levels of love and we, as to- morrow's adults, are concerned with all these degrees of love in their entirety. The basis of all of our decisions of tomorrow come directly back to Heuvelton, where we have developed our outlooks and let our understandings grow. We hope that by dedicating our class' feelings to the 1976 Heuveltonian and through the fellowship in friends we have found here, we can remember in years to come all the love we shared together. 35 SS “Love is Love is the thought that prances in your head Love is a word that is misunderstood Love is a meaning not definable Love is a way of life Excerpt from an original poem by Danny Masters Table Of Contents Faculty and Staff......................pg. 5 Seniors...............................pg. 17 Underclassmen.........................pg. 33 Sports.................................pg. 59 Activities.............................pg. 71 Senior Directory......................pg. 91 4 Supervising Principal Mr. Lawrence Ames Director of Guidance Mr. Wesley Stitt 7 Board Of Education Mr. Norman Drummond, Mr. David Pierce, Mr. Howard Bill, Mr. Earle Johnston (President), Mr. J. After much rivalry with OFA, the class of 1976 selected their own school Rock , Thanks to the special muscle of Mr. Jerry Howes, the MRockH has been added to the school yard. The Rock has seen its share of different paints, including OFA's school colors. We hope that the Rock will become a tradition and each class will have a hand in giving it a new paint job. If you happen to have some extra paint, we're posi- tive that OFA's rock would enjoy a new coat, too! 8.1 J unior mmmtjfjai' 3fa .ja wvir-i(M aa; Sii-M ixSKs li i : j 55sss£sHl ROW 1: Erin Johnston, Sherry Merrill, Terry Merrill, Tammy Thompson, Sue Thornhill, Lisa Hutton, Laurie Gilmour, Mi mi Youngs, Gary Duvall, Amber Bullock, Vicki Thornhill, Kelly Bell, Kathy Herron, Tammy Lake, Carol Fox.
