Senior Class Prophecy I wonder what we will all be doing ten years from now in 1972« It was then that I decided to take down the crystal ball, dust it off, and try to discover the answer to that question I see that Trudy Blount has been granted her wish She is now an Army nurse working way down South (in Antartica). Alas I What's this?-------Gail Ormsbee is still coming back to pester Mr Beebe. Well, Gail always was persistent and she never started something she couldn't finish Congratulations to Mary Whitei She has just been named The Outstand- ing Secretary of the United States for 1972. She is now a member of the 1973 Olympic Secretarial Team. Elaine Pierce is a math teacher now and she's still lugging a big pile of books around. Some people just can't break a habit Who's this in a Mew York Giant football uniform? Why it's none other than our own Jim BarlowI Will miracles never cease? And now to Darkest Africa--------Goodness I It's Marsha Hanna teaching the natives Chemistry and Advanced Science and also trying to Christianize the natives on the side-line Now I see a crowded room somewhere on a college campus. Who from our number is still trying to get through? Why the science professor is John Woodward. And what's this?------an assistant to write on the blackboard? I gues3 John was so busy getting his doctorate that he didn't have time to improve his writing. Who's this? It's Sheila Putman busy making clothing for her brood of five. All those high school and college Home Ec courses are coming in handy now Robert Tuggey is one of the valued scientists at General Electric. In his spare time he coaches neighborhood basketball and baseball teams. Bob never could live without sports. I see an artist now painting the beautiful places of the United States. Well if it isn't Carol Finley on summer vacationi The rest of the crystal ball suddenly became cloudy so I'm not sure if she's a free-lance artist or an art teacher. Who's this efficient WAC sitting at a big desk? Why it's Sylvia Rhodes who has just earned her second stripe I Probably her friendly personality helped. Here's a successful business man who owns five garages and three repair shops. Say it's Ted Wiencek and he is also on special call to a big air- plane factory in case any of their machines need fixing. Puttering was Ted's hobby and now it's his business. Eat at Linda's Pizza Place-3miles, the sign said Could it be?—----- Yes it is Linda Law-and her husband operate a restaurant and serve very delicious pizza Now here's a sad case. Eric Pellegrino owns his own doughnut shop but he's eating up all the profits. Poor RickU Anyone want their hair washed, set, or cut? Maxine Bice is owner and op- erator of her own highly successful beauty salon. How about some cut-rates for us. Max? Heavens, I never thought I would see the day Jim Sovie would wear stilts I It seems that Jim, although he never quite made the 6'5 height requirement of the Boston Celtics, is an exceptional player on their squad 26

I, Mary Martin, as I am planning to take all of my talents-----? ? ? —- with me, leave only this advice to Agnes Gutterson: Stay Happy. I, Robert Wallace, bequeath to my dear friend Donald Ritchie my liking for mathematics. He needs it. I, Timothy James Ashley, will my great ability for dancing and having fun to my buddy, Lee Snyder, and my ability to dye my hair to Donna Duvall, I, Jim Barlow, leave my ability to work in the moonlight to David Sellis. I, Sylvia Rhodes, leave my assistant roll taker to the sucker who feels real ambitious to do it next year. I, Mary White, leave my theme song Can’t Help Palling In Love to Donna Duvall. (Easy does it, Donna.) I, Ron Mandigo, leave my ability to elude Mr. Hanagan in the morning and at night to David Mayhew. I, Eric Pellegrino, leave my educated toe to Harry Woodside, in case he needs it next year in football. I, Carol Ann Finley, being of sound ? mind, hereby bequeath my ability to fight for lost causes to anyone who is strong enough to carry the torch. I, Jim Sovie, will a cigarette machine, a box of big black dollar cigars, and an ash tray to the boys’ lounge (dungeon). I, Judy Knowlton, will my high marks (Brownie Points) from a certain teacher to anyone who may need them. I, Trudy Blount, will my ability to injure myself, such as sticking a pitchfork through my foot, to anyone with courage enough to do it. I, Ed Lancto, leave my long hair (Uncle Sam won’t let me take it with me) to anyone who wants it, but expecially to Mr. Cousineau who needs it. I, David Todd, leave my great love for playing poker to Mr. Cousineau and pals. Witness: Signed: Elaine Pierce John Woodward

Was that Shirley Yaddow in that sleek Cadillac convertible that just went by? That must have been the dreamy engagement present R. W. gave herI Say who’s this? Oh it’s Tim Ashley who has built up a large business near a big university by typing term papers. We understand Tim has a long waiting list and his services are as much in demand as they were at H. C. S. Kathy VanOmum is head dietician at a large New York City hospital. We hear that the hospital has been always overcrowded since Kathy started working there. It must be the good meals. I see a forest and two hard-working Forest Rangers. Why it's Alfred LaRue and David Todd and they both have permanent creases In their backs I I ess they boasted that the two of them could plant more trees in one day than a machine could. All that back-breaking work and they only won by five trees I Gloria Link is now happily married. Is it anyone we know, Gloria? Ronald Mandigo now has a job as farm manager for the King ranch in Texas. Ron, is it true that you developed an air-conditioned stilt so that the Texas weather doesn't bother you? There's a gold ring on Mary Martin's left hand and she's happily married to—-— ------------could it be Elmer? Well look who's working In a modern up-to-date government laboratory on a desert island in the Pacifici It's Larry Steele. Apparently Uncle Sam values Larry's research highly but is afraid to turn Larry lose in a lab on the main- land. Here's a sun-tanned, attractive tourist just departing from a big ocean liner docked in New York. Now that she has taken off the dark glasses I realize that it’s none other than Delberta Moore, world renowned traveler. Bill Kypreos is a hard-working young business executive and doing quite well. The crystal ball says that Bill Is married to the boss's daughter, and it claims that's why he's doing so well. I disagree. Bill always was a hardwork- ing individual. Who's this managing a fashion shop? It's Judy Knowlton and she's just leaving on another buying trip to New York and Paris. Her business must be do- ing xjell. Say here's Tom Stalder with a Yul Brenner haircut. It seems. Tom was work- ing part time in a barber shop because he could not figure out how a barber can give a perfectly flat brush cut. Apparently he tried to do a flat-top on him- self and you already know the sad results. The big white well-kept house and bam over there belongs to Carl Cutway who has all registered cattle. They tell me Carl has won all sorts of model farming awards• One of America's biggest ships has just set another record. Admiral T. W. McCoy, commanding officer, said in an interview today that he was very satisfied with the results of the record run. Bob Wallace has combined his love of Math and his great patience and is now pulling teeth and selling insurance for a living. Now running his own print shop, Carl Duford has every type of printed material imaginable. We understand he also has every color of printer's ink on his fingers now Jim Alguire and Ed Lanoto are now working very hard. 0 crystal ball, be- come. clear and tell me what kind of work Jim Ed are in. Oh dear, the bat- tery to my crystal ball just burned out and I m still In the dark about Jim's and Ed's lines of work Elaine Pierce, Literary Editor 27 27
