DEDICATION Miss Lourena SOVIE We, the class of I960, wish to dedicate our year- book to Mis3 Lourena Sovie in sincere appreciation of her forty-three years of ministering to the demands of young minds. Miss Sovie graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Ogdensburg, N.Y., and then attended Ogdensburg Training School. After teaching for five years, she attended Potsdam Normal School. It is only just that we extend this expression of our respect and gratitude for her many faithful years of kind and patient teaching.

TO THE CLASS OP i960 Your graduation from school brings to an end the first phase of your education. These past years in school have served as an orientation period to everyday life situations. As students developing satisfaction through accomplishment of school tasks you have been laying the groundwork for the same sense of accomplishment that may be a lasting lifetime experience in your chosen vocations. Achieving happiness and contentment in our way of liv- ing is a matter of concern for each of you. If in your approach to your particular job you can see it as it affects what one does, whom one knows and often how one thinks you can make a happier way of life.
