fr r. Reuben James came to Heuvelton Central School in the fall of 1955. He previously taught at Franklin Academy in Malone,New York. As our Junior class advis- or his unstinted assistance and patience contributed to the success of our class projects. It is the sincere hope of our Senior class that the dedication of the 1958 Heuveltonian will express our appreciation for the time and effort that he so gener- ously gave to our class activities. DEDICATION 2 ffllfi MARK V. SELLIS, v'. Secretaries; Pauline Woodside, Elsie Rlckett PRINCIPAL PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE (t is a tradition at Heuvelton Central School that the Senior Class shall prepare and publish the Heuvel- tonian. This yearbook records through its pictures and comments, the activities of students in school during this year. To the Class of 1958, it is a challenge in these days of the Atomic Age for you to carry on the knowledge you have received. In the years past your teachers have given you the basic materials to help you plan your fu- ture. You are leaving school for broader fields of en- deavor and study. Your success will depend on how well you master the additional knowledge and skills that will be presented to you in future years. As we read and enjoy this yearbook, I wish to ex- tend my heartiest congratulations to the Class of 1958 for a job well done . When the time came to chose our class rings, that once in a life-time thrill by the whole class. was experienced The profit from the sale of Christmas cards and the sale of soft drinks at the basketball games financed our class projects. Our prom, with the theme of Canadian Sun- set , was the highlight of the year's activities. Bob Young and Catherine La Forty reigned as King and Queen, while Bill Crowner and Karen Badger were the Prince and Princess. September 58 found us entering our final year of high school. The first item on a crowded agenda wasthe election of Carol Browning as class President;Susanne Todd,VicePresident; Brenda Bayne, Secretary;James Morgan Treasurer, with Mrs.Armstrong and Mr. Shannon as our class advisors. To raise funds for our class to Washing- ton, D.C., we embarked on a series of projects such as; selling soft drinks at the basketball games, selling all occasion cards and putting on suppers and food sales.
