Class History With nostalgic memories of the past but with great plans for the future, we, the Seniors of 1952, bring to a close our last year in the Heuvelton Central School. We shall always remember the fun, work and companionship of the past four years. Our freshman year was spent getting acclimated to our new routine and taking part in the extra - curricular activities of the school. Although we were £ a bewildered and slightly frigh- ened group in September, by the following June we felt we were old hands in the high school. The sophomore year went by quietly and serenely. We had a few dances and the tra- ditional sleigh rides and picnics. As juniors, our first enjoyable task was ordering our class rings. We were cer- tainly proud and happy to wear them! Then came the work of publishing the yearbook, „ MEMORIES OP HEUVELTON CENTRAL. We scurried around getting advertise- ments, pasting pictures, and typing copy; finally, the book was assembled, and we all relaxed. The decorating committee. with Mrs. Hendee as advisor, beautifully carried out the theme of Moonlight and Roses. The Town Hall was filled with fresh flowers, and there was an unusual, old-fashioned wishing well in the center of the floor. John Mayne and Jean Ladouceur were Prom King and Queen. It was a gala evening and will be remembered by us all. At last we were seniors 1 The year was packed with activities. First of all, we held a successful round and sq- are dance. Then came the penny supper on Washington's Birthday. Again we were faced with the problems of publishing the yearbook, THE 1952 HEUVELTONIAN. The Senior Play, THOSE WEBSTERS, was produced in the Town Hall to an appreciative and packed audience. We will always remember our first big night behind the footlights. Finally, graduation day arrived'. Dressed in our caps and gowns, we were proud to receive our diplomas but sad to leave the school where we had spent four happy and active years.

Our most important contribution to the school was the selection of a school crest. Early in the fall, we decided that our school rings would be fashioned with a uniform crest which will be used as the official symbol for the school. We hope the classes that follow us like this crest I We had many gay social events. The highlight of the year was, of course, the Junior Prom. We worked diligently on the various committees and our time was well spent. The Town Hall was beautiful, the orchestra smooth, and everyone had a wonderful, unforgettable evening. Our officers for the year were: President . . . . . Vice-president . . Secretary ......... Treasurer ......... Carolyn Todd Virginia Buck Louise Raven Dick Freeman 11
