Class Of 1952 In September, 19lj-8, thirty-one of us set out as freshmen on our high school adventure. After we had gotten over our initial feeling of awe, we settled down to work. At our first class meeting we elected; Robert Finley, president; Billy Murdock, vice-president; James Breckenridge, secretary and treasurer. We had a few social evenings during the year. September, 191+9, found us basking in the delight of being full-fledged sophomores. How we were on the second rung of the ladder leading to the top. Our officers for the year were: Laura Dodd, president; Frances Dodd, vice- president; Joan Denny, secretary; Frances Todd, treasurer. We wanted to raise some money to help support our class projects so we sold candy at basketball games and at school. We had two social evenings during the year and a sleigh ride at Christmas. Now we are busy and happy juniors. Our officers are: Stanley McCadam, president; Winston Whittemore, vice-president; Betty LaVier, secretary; Fairbairn Ashworth, treasurer. Our first task was selecting and ordering our school rings. It seemed ages before they arrived, but when they finally did come, we were all very pleased and proud. Our biggest undertaking of the year was the publishing of the annual yearbook, MEMORIES OF HEUVELTON CENTRAL. The entire class worked along with the yearbook staff and we finally completed the book. Next came the night of nights - the Junior Prom. The decorating committee worked for days to make the Town Hall attractive. It was a wonderful dance and none of us will ever forget it. Now we are looking forward to next year when we can at last consider ourselves at the top of the high school ladder of success and achievement. Our memories of the high school years will always be fresh in our minds and will always be treasured. 11
