Although our number has dwindled, here we are at last, being measured for caps and gowns, sending out invitations, and impatiently waiting for the final day when we re- ceive our diplomas. Our freshmen and sophomore years went by all too fast. We had our class meetings, picnics, sleighrides; we began our money making ventures to finance our senior trip to Washington. At last we were JuniorsJ We were frantically busy from the beginning of the school year to the end. First of all, we chose our class rings—and we have been wearing them with pride ever since. Then we had to assemble and pub- lish the Yearbook. We scurried around getting advertisements, taking pictures, and typing the copy. We all breathed a tremendous sigh of relief when that job was done. The Junior Prom in May was, of course, the highlight of the year. Dancing under the stars was our theme, and we spent days cutting out blue stars and streamers. In addition, the hall was decorated with spring flowers and everything looked beautiful. A large, appreciative crowd watched charming Eloise Mix and handsome Lowell Murdock as they were crowned Prom Queen and King. Everyone had a super-wonderful time. Wbw we are dignified and sedate Seniors. Our annual Supper and Auction was held on Washington's birthday and our treasury was swelled with the pro- ceeds. The senior play, ALMOST SUMMER, was shown to a packed audience on March 10. (Johnny Mayne as Paul was certainly terrific, wasn't he?) We are now looking forward with eager anticipation to our annual senior trip to Washington, D.C. Looking back over the carefree years of school, we find we have, in- 7 Class Will We, the Senior Class of 1951 being of sound mind, body, and disposition, do hereby publish and declare this our last will and testament: Eleanor Link leaves her pet nicknames to the next lucky girl and her boy friends to Aline Wood. She leaves her daily letter writing to service men to Darlene Downing. Jean Ladouceur leaves a senior ring to Maureen Perry until Art Terwilliger can find his to give to her. She leaves G. S. to any girl who thinks she can charm him. Nancy Freeman leaves her red curls to Frances Dodd. She leaves her love of school subjects to the basketball boys and hopes they'll be eligible for all the games next year. Beverly Bishop leaves her tall, handsome hero to the next lucky girl. She also bequeathes her black hair to Helen Clark and her sense of humor to Virginia Buck. Ilene Laramy leaves her fly-off-the-handle temper to Joan Denny, her cheerleading uniform to Ruth Hentz, and her giggle to Ann Dodd. John Mayne leaves his blond wavy hair to Jack Steele and his gift of gab to Stanley McCadam. He leaves his grades of 90 in agriculture courses to Ray Aldrich. Arthur Terwilliger leaves his basketball ability to Danny Lake, his fascinating haircut to Fairbairn Ashworth, and his witty remarks to Bob Finley. Robert Terwilliger leaves his basketball ability to Winston Whittemore and his senior ring to a very special Junior. Lois Parish leaves her gaiety to Bethany Poor and her ability to have fun at choir practice to Frances Dodd. Barbara Hentz leaves her athletic prowess to Barbara Fuller and her laugh to Julia Austin. 8 HELEN RAVEN JOAN DENNY HELEN WOOD j PAUL LINK 9 ROBERT FINLEY 10 Class Of 1952 In September, 19lj-8, thirty-one of us set out as freshmen on our high school adventure. After we had gotten over our initial feeling of awe, we settled down to work. At our first class meeting we elected; Robert Finley, president; Billy Murdock, vice-president; James Breckenridge, secretary and treasurer. We had a few social evenings during the year. September, 191+9, found us basking in the delight of being full-fledged sophomores. How we were on the second rung of the ladder leading to the top. Our officers for the year were: Laura Dodd, president; Frances Dodd, vice- president; Joan Denny, secretary; Frances Todd, treasurer. We wanted to raise some money to help support our class projects so we sold candy at basketball games and at school. We had two social evenings during the year and a sleigh ride at Christmas. Now we are busy and happy juniors. Our officers are: Stanley McCadam, president; Winston Whittemore, vice-president; Betty LaVier, secretary; Fairbairn Ashworth, treasurer. Our first task was selecting and ordering our school rings. It seemed ages before they arrived, but when they finally did come, we were all very pleased and proud. Our biggest undertaking of the year was the publishing of the annual yearbook, MEMORIES OF HEUVELTON CENTRAL. The entire class worked along with the yearbook staff and we finally completed the book. Next came the night of nights - the Junior Prom. The decorating committee worked for days to make the Town Hall attractive. It was a wonderful dance and none of us will ever forget it. Now we are looking forward to next year when we can at last consider ourselves at the top of the high school ladder of success and achievement. Our memories of the high school years will always be fresh in our minds and will always be treasured. 11 Row 1 - Harry Wolfe, Floyd Ormsbee, William Murdock, James Breckenridge, Richard Downing.
