44: Wall and 7e4zmwfz As we, the all-powerful class of '54, near the last days of our reign in and about the campus of Dear Ole Heuck's, we deem it wise. just and expedient to make some provision for all our earthly goods, troubles and tribulations for which we confidently expect to have no more use. Be it hereby ordained and established that this provision invalidates all previous arrangements for the divisions of our spoils. To the Juniors we hereby bestow our Senior Dignity and importance to be theirs for the next year. To the Juniors also we bequeath the joy and trouble of graduation. To the Sophomores we leave all the encouragement and faith toward newer and better ideals. Also to you, the dear Sophs, our Biology books, first year Algebra and thrills of world History. To the Freshmen we bestow all our pencils, paper and all other useful material to be found most anywhere in anyone's desk, and above all to you, our baby brothers and sisters, our sympathy. To all the Faculty we leave our best arguments, those that stood up under yours and all our best wishes for a brighter, quieter future. Also to you, our favorite teachers, and equal amount of sympathy. Last but bestg to Miss Ida and the ladies of the Lunchroom, a much more orderly meal time, our broken milk bottles, all the English Peas and all tl1e dishes fnot broken, always to be carried back as we so set the example. This the last will and Testament of the Class of '54, in the year of our lord, Nineteen Hundred and Fifty-Four. Class Attorney, Miss Edouida Barry I I , A ,, 4 1:n-- -A

l444?'w It's a beautiful April morning. the air is sweet and clean, the year is 1970. Well, what's up? Oh, the class of '54 is having a wonderful reunion and who is the first to speak: of course our Senior Class President, now Dr. L. S. Bullard. He is in top health, a bit plump but the same ole Luke. He's even Papa, three times so. Our attentions are turned now as another distinguished Gentleman enters. It's Jerry White, done well he has. He is a big timber man, has a mansion and owns 500 acres of the best land in Lincoln County. Well, the guests are gathering more rapidly, we see Mrs. Billy Ray Stewart, nee Betty Jo Flowers, and four fine children. She tells us she now owns six oil wells and is one of the social ladies of New Orleans, having a summer home near Enterprise. Bobby Tolar, now a very very distinguished Gentleman arrived a minute ago in his Cadillac. He is indeed a highly sociable gentleman, as well as being Editor of a well known nation wide newspaper. On his arm is a lovely brunett, well, well. At last here is Dorothy Callendar. She is now a secretary to a most popular United States Senator who hails from Missouri. By the way Dot tells us that she is engaged and to a home boy, she'll make it yet. Theda Carlisle R.N. has just shot in. She's a nurse in the Baptist Hospital in Jackson. She says that Doctors aren't so bad at all and she just loves to take care of ailing people. The honorable Mr. Ward is now being announced. He's a quiet family man but has a nice size farm, 300 acres and also a contracting business for ready cash. Mrs. Bullard, nee Shirley Coker, just slipped in. As Jim said, 'She did finish college but she now has three more courses to take, two girls and a boy. Mr. Chance QGeraldj has hopped through the door. The cute Dot Quinn landed him. Besides being a good provider and father, Gerald is a slick businessman. In a few more years we predict Johns -Mansville shall have to take down their signs. Well, now just look, the former Miss Barry, finally. Yes, Edouida is a lawyer of considerable renown. She tells us it took, of course, longer than she expected to become famous but just wait. She has already had her biggest case, a nip to say yes at the altar, but with a companion who is also interested in affairs of law. They regxesent in legal matters of one of the biggest corpora- tions in America. Oh, by the way if all these predictions don't come Ulle, I'm no bigger fool than you. Your Prophet
