The Student Council appointed four committees at the beginning of the year to work on specific areas of its iurisdiction . The Social Committee fchairman, Frank Brennemani sc hedu led several Saturday night basketball games, planned a series of dress-up suppers, as well as a number of social events. The Dining Hall Committee, headed by Ellen Penner, was responsible for the music played duringthe evening meal .The Buildings and Grounds Committee, headed by Harold Shetler, worked for ' further improvement of our physical environment. The Publicity Committee was responsible for increasing sociability between the boys and girls. Barbara Geil was chairman of this committee. This year the Student Council established the Committee on Student-Faculty Relations, set up to bridge the gap between the students and the faculty and ad- ministration.
