Sophomore Class l OW B H J L O O D n Z cl ROXV L C o 3 d ROXV N1 H 3 CLASS HISTORY And so we were graduated Not too far but one more step up that ladder of fame and glory 1n good old Hershey H1gh from the extra roll of Freshman to b1ll1ng of stars as Sophomores At our f1rst class meetlng we chose Oll1e Odean Presldent and M1ss Dorothy Countryman as sponsor Durmg the second semester M1ss Countryman was replaced by M1ss Helen Lohmxller Honors won by Robert Huebner and Wauneta Dunn 1n the Lmcoln County Scholast1cs brought our class forward 1nto br1ghter l1ghts IH the cr1t1cal eyes of our upper classmen The feature attract1ons were the Freshman All School Party and the Jumor Senlor Banquet at wh1ch the boys and g1rls of our class served Our Sophomore year brought forth an enrollment of seventeen mcludlng one new member Mamne Haw es who entered the second semester Glenn Jagears was a member of the Vars1ty Basket Ball squad Other letter men were Robert Huebner and Eddxe M1yOSh1 We are lookmg forward to the Scholaslc Contests and semester exammatlons Wh1Ch we hope wxll land us over m the Jumor row We hope 19 , , 9' k X as , ls R ': . JUHIOI' C BSS lil X u non um C12 1 X vt X n CLASS HISTORY A very brllllant class of Freshmen entered the Assembly of Her shey Hlgh 1937 Llke all others we were consldercd green but we took our 1n1t1at1on as calmly as could be expected after whlch wc settled down long enough for the elect1on of Class offlcers We elected one of our star athletes namely Harold Hungerford as pres1dent and Mr Wllson as our sponsor After havmg spent an enjoyable summer we returned to dear old H H S for another year only th1s t1me we were one step farther up on the ladder of educat1on We were now the soph1st1 cated Sophomores Th1s year although not as exc1t1ng as the precedmg year, st1ll had nts round of partxes and good t1mes along Wlth many memorxes for each one of us We chose Harold Hungerford as pres1dent and M1ss Flsher as sponsor Now we are the well known Junior Class whxch IS known for 1ts pretty glrls star athletes and br1ll1ant students Agam th1s year we elected Harold Hungerford as pres1dent and Mr Darland as sponsor He later rcs1gned hls prolessorshlp as a teacher here for a pos1t1on ID New Castle Wyo so we elected M1ss F1sher sa our sponsor We gave our Junlor Clas Play Marr1ed Before M1dn1ght whlch was a rous1ng success and we are look1ng forward w1th eagerness to the tlme when we w1ll be hosts to the Senlors at the Jumor Sen1or banquet to be held Aprll 26 18 - I 1. i lst ROX'.
