Girls' Basketball Team Shows Pride And Spirit The 798 7-82 Girls' Basketball Team displayed much enthusiasm and confidence throughout the entire season. Although their conference record was only 4-8, the team's attitude did not reflect it. Coach Tuttle said that the team never gave up, and even after a tough loss they came back fighting. Their attitude was very positive and competitive. There were about 7 or 8 games that they lost by a slim margin of 2 points. One of the most exciting games was played against Palatine when the Huskies battled it out in overtime and won by 9 points. Also, an action packed game was played against Lemont where the Huskies lost by a mere point! Coach Tuttle was very proud of his team when they overpowered Buffalo Grove by one point. Voted Most Valuable Player was Carolyn Pasterski. She was also voted All-Conference Player and aver- aged 13 points per game. junior Michele Mueller was one of the most improved players since she developed her skills 700 M. Also, Senior Sheryl Dreher was also a Most Improved Player because of her dedication at both practices and games. Her enthusiasm was outstanding. Some of Coach Tuttle's goals for next year's team are to improve the conference record, to shoot for a .500 season, and to create more offensive produc- tion.
