Turn Your Love Around At Turnabout The Class of 7982 Student Council sponsored this year's Winterball Turnabout Dance on Saturday, February 13 in the cafeteria. The Valentines Day decorations went along well with this year's theme Turn Your Love Around. The band Chariot kept t everyone dancing from 8:00 till 17:00. T The student body voted earlier in the week for the Turnabout Court. Al Kastner was crowned king by Maureen Druffel and Rhonda Forlavv. Grant Fuchs, john Novak, Dan Sramek, jerry Stopper, and Todd Younger were also on court. The music, decorations, and the romantic atmo- sphere made for an exciting evening. After the dance, most couples completed the evening by go- ing out to a nice restaurant. Special thanks to Mr. Blim and the Senior Class for making this a night to remember. by Pam Lemke Libby Meier and Bill Oakley flash their pearly whites. Win ter Activities Warm Up Hersey Students Although this winter was one of the coldest in the history of the Chicago area, with 80 degrees below zero temperatures twith the wind chilli, students kept their minds off the harsh weather by participat- ing in extracurricular activities. Some of these in- cluded wrestling, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, bowling, the play, and Turnabout. The Christmas assembly got everyone into the holiday spirit. Groups such as Orchesis, Pomberets, Student Council, AFS, and On Stage entertained the crowd, Some of the teachers showed off their talents by singing in the choir. The halls were filled with red, pink, and white balloons to celebrate Valentines Day. Students sent them to their lucky valentines. This was sponsored by Student Council and was a huge success.
