'Madwoman Of Chaillot' ls A Success! The john Hersey High School Theatre presented The Madwoman of Chaillot on February 78, 79 and 20. This fine play, written by jean Giraudoax, was well received by Hersey audiences. Thirty-two talented Hersey students made this fine production possible. Each student gave an ex- cellent performance, Among the fine performers was Liz Bartlow, portraying Countess Aurelia, The Madwoman of Chaillot. Other prominent members of the cast were joe Nicastro, the Ragpicker, Mathew Carlson, the character Pierre, jane Rossi and Deena K rumdick, as lrma,' jerry K ernion as the Presi- dent and Cheryl Golemo, Gwen junkel, Angela Pionke and Tami Zuck as the other Madwomen. A special appearance was made by Manuel Go- mez, AFS exchange student from Portugal. Also ap- pearing were Ron jiu and Mitch Levy, two deaf edu- cation students. The play was directed by Mr. Bruce Drouin. He was assisted by Adrienne-Rae Farnaus, a Hersey gra- duate. The technical director was Mr. Ed Moon, and the business manager was Mrs. Dolores Lingren. Turn Your Love Around At Turnabout The Class of 7982 Student Council sponsored this year's Winterball Turnabout Dance on Saturday, February 13 in the cafeteria. The Valentines Day decorations went along well with this year's theme Turn Your Love Around. The band Chariot kept t everyone dancing from 8:00 till 17:00. T The student body voted earlier in the week for the Turnabout Court. Al Kastner was crowned king by Maureen Druffel and Rhonda Forlavv. Grant Fuchs, john Novak, Dan Sramek, jerry Stopper, and Todd Younger were also on court. The music, decorations, and the romantic atmo- sphere made for an exciting evening. After the dance, most couples completed the evening by go- ing out to a nice restaurant.
