One-A ct-Plays Hit Off Season A quaint bedroom setting and a darkened living room set the stage for this year's one-act comedies held on November 5, 6, and7 in the Hersey theatre. Both plays were directed by Mr. Bruce Drouin, The first play, A Visitor From Forest Hills, was a Neil Simon comedy. Lisa Young jtMimseyj was the unfortunate victim of pre-marital jitters locked in a hotel bathroom. Gwyn junkel and Eric Olsen play Norma and Roy Hubley, Minsey's frantic parents, and Marc Lasko plays the husband-to-be. The second play, Black Comedy, is a slapstick that revolves arounda blackout in London. Herb Washer plays Brindsley, a poor artist, Carrie Costello plays Carol, his fiance, and Glen Heyroth plays the Colo- nel, Carol's father. Fine performances were also giv- en by john Novak tHarold Goringej, Heather Kinney tClea1, jerry Kernion t5chuppanzigh2, and Hannes Danner tGeorge Bambergerj. Contributing to the production were Mr. Edward Moon, Technical Director, Liz Bartlow, Assistant to the Directory and Mrs. Dolores Lindgren, Business Manager. The creative set construction added to the com- edy's success and showed a great deal of time and effort.
