Cheerleaders' Pep Drives Teams To Victories! The 1981 football cheerleaders showed fans their enthusiasm, skill and determination in cheering the teams on. They kept the crowds going even when the Huskies were behind. The cheerleaders and Fall Club practiced hard, working on cheers, lifts and mounts. Much of their success goes to their spon- sors, Mr. R. j. Hannon and Mrs. Bridget Lucas. They helped them with ideas and brought all four squads together. Some activities the cheerleaders participated in during Homecoming Week were decorating the football players' houses the night before the big game, selling mums and sponsoring an alumni re- union for the former cheerleaders on Friday. The ony male cheerleading squad of the Mid-Suburban Conference, Fall Club had its fourth consecutive year, and year after year they continue to prove themselves outstanding. Lea Newren, captain of the varsity squad, worked with Fall Club captain Doug Swanson for a great season. The junior varsity co-captains were Chris Michaels and Lisa Nakamura. The captain of the sophomore squad was Becky Schram and the fresh- man captain was jami Drake. by Linda Leers Huskie spirit is obvious in these junior Varsity cheerleaders. What a bunch of hams! Freshman Sue Gotham does her job at the Homecoming game. Fall Club shows off their talent to a passing photographer. .NSS Everyone has to take a break, right? Varsity is ready to fire up the crowd.

Corona tion '8 1 Filled with Magical Moments The 1981 Coronation ceremony, held on Thurs- day, October 23, in the gymnasium, added a spark of excitement to Homecoming Week. The K ing's Court consisted of Da ve Adelman, Tony Frankiewicz, john Griffin, Da ve K oziol and joe Nicastro. The Masters of Ceremony for the afternoon were Licia O'Neil and Al Kastner. The Freshman, Sopho- more and junior class attendants were jill Erickson, Sue jacob and Libby Meier. The entertainment for the ceremony was pro- vided by On Stage . Their first performance of the year included, Let the Sunshine In'Q and I Got the Music in Me'j which captivated the audience. Much appreciation should go to the Senior class Student Council and sponsor, Mr. Henry Blim, for their hard work in designing the best decorations and stage ever. The spectacular castle really set the mood for the touching ceremony. The 1981 Coronation ceremony will certainly leave behind some magical memories with all those who attended. by Colleen Sweeney l - The royal family, Doug Swanson, Barbara Rosinski, jeffrey Rosinski, and Kimberly Shantz smiles for an official Coro- nation picture. john Griffin, joe Nicastro, Tony Frankiewicz, Dave Adel- man and Dave Koziol smile proudly at Coronation.
